Jack
is a 24 year old Student, currently residing in Gainesville, FL. Jill is a 22 year
old Student, currently residing in Gainesville, FL. HOW THEY MET: "We
worked together at the O'dome. We were both security/ushers, and he was the lead
man in charge. We had never really talked much, but since we have the same last
name, everyone always teased about "Jack & Jill" and how no one
believed that we weren't married. We decided that the best way to deal with the awkwardness was
to play along, so we pretended one day that we were husband and wife and called
each other "honey" and "sugar pie" he even gave me a metal
key ring as a wedding ring, haha. That opened us up to talking more, and
somewhere because of all the silliness, we fell in love. The rest is history!" THE
ENGAGEMENT HOW THEY GOT
ENGAGED: We decided to write each other a poem for a Christmas present. Then
later we decided to present them to each other in front of our families. So as
he was reading his poem, in front of my family, I was only expecting a poem. The
last line of the poem was a proposal. The last two lines are...."Thank you
for being a part of my life," (he gets down on one knee at this time)
"Jill Jane Johnson will you do me the honor of being my wife?" I was
so shocked and happy. I didn't cry till I saw other people in my family cry! He
picked the ring out on his own and everything, it is beautiful! I was told later
that he had asked my Dad way before hand and my dad didn't give him and answer
until ten minutes before them poem! So that is the story. Their
wedding date is set for January 16, 2005.
